The second year course is split into two different subject; Design and Manufacture and Graphic Communication.

Design and Manufacture

The aim of the Design and Manufacture course is to develop further the craft skills learned in first year and develop problem solving strategies to show creativity in design challenges. Models built in S2 will include a mug tree and box design project.

Graphic Communication

The aim of the Graphic Communication course is to allow pupils to explore graphical techniques and their application. The graphics course allows pupils to use manual and computer aided forms of drawing in addition to developing their knowledge of colour theory. This is done through units in Orthographic drawing, pencil and marker rendering and 3D computer modelling.
